Phoenix, AZ (October 12, 2011)—Road Machinery announced today that Komatsu’s Hybrid HB215LC-1 hydraulic excavator is available at its California locations and qualifies for funding through the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) Hybrid Off-Road Equipment Pilot Project. Under the program, special CARB Hybrid Environmental Incentive Rebates are available for HB215LC-1 excavator purchases. The project is being administered and evaluated by the University of California Riverside College of Engineering – Center for Environmental Research and Technology.
Komatsu’s Hybrid HB215LC-1 hydraulic excavator is the product of groundbreaking research and development,” noted Steve Branson, president at Road Machinery. “With its unique Hybrid system, lower NOx, CO and CO2 emissions are obtained as well as substantial fuel savings up to 25% less than comparable models.
